Foreign Trade

In 2018, Lithuanian exports accounted for EUR 28.3 billion and, as compared to 2017, increased by 7.3%.

The largest share in Lithuania’s exports fell within mineral oils and products (15,1% of total exports), machinery (15,2%), chemical products (10,7%).

In 2018, Lithuanian imports accounted for EUR 30.9 billion and, as compared to 2017, increased by 8.5%.

FDI: In 2018, the FDI flow in Lithuania amounted to EUR 766.8 million, a year-on-year increase of 32.5 per cent.

Lithuania’s DI abroad:  In 2018, the largest Lithuanian investment flows were directed to Sweden, Ireland and Poland. Lithuania’s cumulative DI abroad grew by 25.5 per cent over the year and amounted to EUR 3.7 billion as at 31 December 2018.

Tourism

In 2018, Lithuanian accommodation services have welcomed 1,74 million tourists from foreign countries. The amount increased by 10,2%, as compared to 2017.
