Foreign Trade

In 2015, Lithuanian exports accounted for EUR 23 billion and, as compared to 2014, decreased by 5.7%.

The largest share in Lithuania’s exports fell within mineral products (16.3% of total exports), machinery and mechanical appliances (8.2%), furniture (7%) electrical machinery (6.5%) and plastics (5.7%).

In 2015, Lithuanian imports accounted for EUR 25.4 billion and, as compared to 2014, decreased by 1.9%.

The largest share in Lithuania’s imports fell within mineral products (20.2%), machinery and mechanical appliances (10.3%), electrical machinery (7.6%), vehicles (6.9%) and plastics (4.4%).

Foreign business mainly invested in financial and insurance activities (27.7%), manufacturing (21.1%), real estate activities (14.3%), wholesale and retail trade (10.5%), information and communication activities (8.7%).

Tourism

In 2015, Lithuanian accommodation services have welcomed 1.36 million tourists from foreign countries. The amount increased by 2.3%, as compared to 2014.
