
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania allocated EUR 100,000 in humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The funds will be transferred to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania allocated 75 thousand euros to provide humanitarian aid for those affected by the Nagorno-Karabakh armed conflict. The funds will be transferred to the International Committee of the Red Cross.
On 5 October, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania announced a Call to submit applications for the implementation of development cooperation projects under the Development Cooperation and Democracy Promotion Programme in 2021.
On 7 July, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius took part in a virtual roundtable “Ukraine Reforms: What Next?” that was organized by Chatham House. The event took stock of what had been achieved over the recent years and analyzed the upcoming reform agenda.

On 30 June, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Linas Linkevičius attended the fourth Brussels Conference on “Supporting the future of Syria and the region”, which was co-chaired by the European Union and the United Nations. The event was held in a virtual format. L. Linkevičius voiced his consistent support for Syria, activities of the UN Special Envoy for Syria Geir O. Pedersen, as well as stressed the need to support young people in the country and to ensure accountability for crimes committed in Syria.

On 25 June, the Political Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Raimonda Murmokaitė took part in the virtual high-level Sudan Partnership Conference that was organized by Germany, the European Union, and the United Nations. During the event, R. Murmokaitė announced Lithuania’s decision to allocate EUR 25, 000 in humanitarian aid to Sudan. The funds will be transferred to the United Nations World Food Programme.

On June 18-19, Lithuania took the floor during the interactive dialogue on Ukraine and the general debate on technical assistance and capacity building at the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council.

On 27 February, the annual Development Cooperation Conference took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania. The event focused on Lithuania’s development cooperation policy and results.
